Pros
The atmosphere of the job site was great and the coworkers made work feel like home. Vacation time Is 2 weeks after a year of employment.
Cons
The pay rate was low, and having to drive to clients almost daily was a drag.

Pros
The day-to-day client work is wonderful, and so are my teammates and supervisors. Truly feel like I'm making a difference every day and find this work to be immensely rewarding. Work-life balance is decent, especially for this field. I love my job when I do not have to interact with anyone outside of the program that I work in.
Cons
Pay is not competitive, and Horizon House's upper management and HR departments are an absolute mess. Sometimes I'm amazed that this organization is still standing due to the complete inefficiency, siloing, poor communication and straight-up rudeness I encounter when interfacing with staff outside of my program. There seem to be many people in HR and at the top of our agency who are simply power-hungry and do not care about staff or our actual clients. If they did, they would not make every single request or suggestion for improvements seem like pulling teeth, and they would not belittle us.
