Pros

We have an ever changing set of challenges to face in our mission to enable the best healthcare experience for our users. This last 12 months has been *intense*. Almost daily requirements to update our system to enable clinic's to comply with the various federal and state guidance on COVID-19. We've also built stronger relationships with the clinic's who use our products. Many people having been doing it tough and it's been an honour to be able to make things just a bit easier people. Given the rapid pace of change, we continue to have a lot of interesting challenges to solve and high degree of autonomy and input into how we solved these things. The company has made an enormous effort to keep the whole company connected whilst in lockdown. Lots of well organised online social events and weekly all hands sessions with our senior leaders keeping us up to date on what was happening. Our tech stack is excellent with big focus on continuous delivery, testing and infrastructure (deploying 10 times a day is not unusual!).

Cons

We've faced some challenges in the last year around cohesion because of the switch to fully remote working, but great efforts have been made to minimize the impact of that.

Pros

Mission-driven company with a clear focus on improving healthcare access and modernising primary care in Australia. High-growth, product-led culture—offering the chance to work on innovative problems like hybrid care delivery, interoperability, marketplace dynamics, and patient engagement. Strong autonomy and ownership; leaders are empowered to drive strategic initiatives end-to-end with real impact. Collaborative environment with thoughtful people who care about doing meaningful work. Willingness to adapt org structure and operating models to match scale and complexity as the business grows.

Cons

As with any scaling startup, some growing pains exist—org design, role clarity, and operating rhythms can shift quickly as new squads and priorities emerge. Cross-functional alignment occasionally lags behind ambition; requires strong individual initiative to stay connected and navigate dependencies.

Pros

- The business is always evolving, which provides plenty of variety and meaningful challenges to lean into. As the years go by, the company continues to feel fresh and exciting - Genuine care for people. “Doing the right thing” is built into the modus operandi and structurally reinforced across all levels of leadership - Market dominance and national reach provides a solid foundation for us to launch towards the next horizon with confidence - Open sharing of information from leaders as often as possible. Team members at all levels have genuine insight into how the business is performing, and leaders will openly discuss our challenges and how we plan to overcome them - Maintaining flexible hybrid/WFH options across the board - Career development opportunities based on merit and reward for effort

Cons

- Not a con for me, but because of the fast paced nature of how we operate, it may be less suited to those who are less prepared for ambiguity - Time itself goes by incredibly fast, making me feel like I’m ageing more rapidly
