I have been working at Huawei Technologies full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Knowledge sharing is the best practice.
Most people get an on-site experience within first one year or another half, which pays well.
Good communication channels throughout the company.
Highly evolved work culture.

Cons

Management is not efficient. Managers are almost entirely isolated from the intricacies of their respective projects. The bonus system is not good. Most importantly, no work-life balance. Too much statistical hotch-potch going on. Revenue increased by extensive cost-cutting by revising salary structures instead of increase in business.

Advice to Management

Managers should not just prepare presentations on topics which have no bearing on the quality of project. They should actively participate in development. And too much analysis of efficiency of development process on their part takes up crucial time meant for actual development.

    Pros

Cannot think of anything good happening around.

    Cons

    1. No work life balance
    2. The already existing employees have a group amongst them and they are unfriendly, and always tend to pull down the others who are new or don't belong to their group.
    3. Management doesn't give any training to the new joinees. Even if the new joinees are experienced they aren't respected.
    4. The manager tends to believe the team members rather than own judgement.
    5. No quality work given to Indian counterparts, but are made to slog for some useless kind of tasks which don't require any special technical abilities.

    Advice to Management

    1. Assess individuals on the amount of work done rather than what they show they have done.
    2. Don't give unnecessary importance to people just because they are with the organization for a long time. Seniority doesn't always give the best ideas.
    3. Treat employees and their personal commitments as important.
    4. Increase the salary. Even when you say that it is at par with the industry, the organization gets a lot of work done from its employees when compared to the general size of work in the industry.

    4. Incredibly unclear career opportunities and salary increase.
