Pros

Humana has a great core philosophy of putting people first. This means a concentration on what healthcare is best for the member at the right time, in the right manner. Despite all of the hurdles of the US Healthcare system, in many ways Humana transcended the usual business to make members fell cared for and to ensure that they has access to the resources that would lead to their best health.

Cons

As with many companies that grow quickly, Humana suffered from the proliferation of too many internal departments and vendor and consultancy relationships. This resulted in the duplication of roles and functions. Sadly for me, the termination of my role was part of what was likely a much-needed reduction in force to remove a lot of duplication and waste.
