I have been working at Huntington National Bank full-time (More than a year)

Pros

There is plenty of room for career growth.

Cons

Long hours, open 7 days a week. Work a lot of overtime they don't tell you about. Hires a lot of people with no banking experience leading to many errors and problems. Won't allow you to move up until you've served 1 year in current position, even if you're the best fit for the job.

    Pros

    Family friendly work environment. Flexible schedule. Decent reputation. Interest rates and products are both solid.

    Cons

    Operations department has been in disarray for the last 18 months. No clear outline of Decision Makers. No/limited accountability. Systems are outdated. Little/no sales support.

    Advice to Management

    Redefine your mortgage processing. Do a better job stressing accountability. Consider a more aggressive comp plan for processing. Increase head count in all facets of the business. Upgrade originations system. Recognize your top producers.
