Pros

Salary was above average and one of only a few companies where bonuses were actually achieveable. Great employee discounts. Health, vision, dental benefits are better and lower cost than other companies I have worked at. Great camaraderie among almost all employees at all levels. Employees tended to support each other no matter what level of staff they were.

Cons

Long hours as a salaried employee with minimum 5 day/45 hr week which often could stretch to 6day/50+hr weeks with no additional compensation. On call for 24/7/365 expectation for all low, mid, senior managers at property level by top management. Expect calls even when on vacation. Feedback by low, mid, senior managers at property level often disregarded or ignored by top management. Employee morale and appreciation difficult to maintain with only lip service paid by top management.

Pros

Fair pay, decent PTO, can be a very flexible work environment if you have a caring leader. Hospitality is a fun industry that tends to attract interesting people--ability to travel and work with diverse cultures is great.

Cons

Constant reorganization/restructuring post-COVID, and growth that outpaced scalable infrastructure. Some long-time employees very set in their ways, can be hard to make meaningful impacts on ways of working even when the org has changed on paper.
