I worked at Hyatt full-time

Pros

Great benefits, some really great people, beautiful hotels

Cons

Some very controlling Executive Managers on property with too much power.
Corporate needs to get more involved with ongoing issues at hotels when they are brought to their attention. Most employees do not trust Human Resources at the hotel because there is no confidentiality (at least not at the property I worked). If the situation is bad enough to be brought to corporate, the employees should expect some support and/or change.

Advice to Management

Corporate needs to hear the voices of employees and not rely on top management opinions only - they will tell only what they want you to hear, and it is not always factual. Automatically siding with top management because they run the property does not resolve the problems and you lose good people.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Hyatt is a big company that offers nice benefits- sales bonuses, good healthcare, and great mobility for switching hotels throughout the world

    Cons

Hospitality is there to serve clients. You can work some very long hours, and have some very stressful days. Things change at a moments notice.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to back up their support staff and other managers. Clients will very quickly realize how to work the system if the upper management always caves to save the sale even if it means bending the rules.
