I worked at Hyatt full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

All the people I worked with and met was great. They have alot of hotel all over.

    Cons

the hourly pay was horrible $2.35 hr. The upper management. The tips were not that good cause the people are way too rich to know what tipping is! They make alot of promises about work after the end of the season but DO NOT FOLLOW THRU!!

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your bartenders!!

I have been working at Hyatt full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Employee empowerment allows employees to resolve guest issues and complaints quickly. Diverse job requirements allow for constant work eliminating "down time."

    Cons

No employee meals. High demand for low salary (i.e. Gallery Host position includes: Front Desk, Bartending, Shuttle Driving, Stocking Kitchen/Bakery-Cafe, Cooking, Reservations, Concierge, and Cleaning, but pays less than $10/hr.) Very limited opportunity for advancement as the brand is relatively unkown and doesn't carry the reputation of Marriotts and Hiltons.

    Advice to Management

Pay employees a reasonable salary for what you demand of them. Most gallery hosts are college graduates with student loans to repay who chose to work for your company to advance themselves but with limited growth as a company and even more limited pay for employees this job is not desirable.
