    Poor Benefits, Pay, and Management

    Pros

Working independently, no shared tips, 50% off cafe items.

    Cons

Management started going downhill when several of the team left the GM. The GM refused to hire new managers and the couple new hires she made for the front did not receive proper training. On weekends we were expected to function just as if it were a weekday, by ourselves running check in, the bar, and the starbucks and prepare the night audit. Occasionally we also had to run breakfast should that host not arrive. I have also never paid so much for insurance. I paid over $100 per month on top of my $35 copays. Not a whole lot was covered either. The employee dress code was also extremely racist and sexist. Women were put in low cut dresses and men in vests, long sleeve shirts, and slacks, both forced to have "gender conforming" hair. A POC was not allowed to have hair that stuck out more than 2" from their head. Certainly a legacy brand in the worst way. Steer clear of The Hyatt in the Fort Worth Stockyards if you want decent pay for work or to not be demeaned by local and foreign rednecks alike.
