Advice to Management

    Doesn't Recommend
    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

    - Flexible work arrangements, can work from home depending on project or job
    - Name recongnition for resume
    - Exposure into how a corporate entity operates

    Cons

    - Salary and Bonus is downright poor now. IBM sr mgt believes staff are commodities. They pay/reward below market.
    - Since salary has become poor, a new medicore class of employees are being hired. I gues these are the ones that couldn't get a higher offer somewhere else and it shows!
    - Seasoned partners are leaving...lots of middle managers with no skills left.
    - No more education reimbursement (MBA)

    Advice to Management

You better start thinking long term retention of employees. Sammy is seeting himself up for retirement then someone is going to be holding the bag when you have lost of your employees with any skills or knowledge.

    Recommends
    Approves of CEO

    Pros

IBM is really flexible, depending on the position that you are working. Also they provide opportunities to experience many different jobs within the Raleigh-Durham area.

    Cons

IBM can tend to require some weekend work and since you are able to work from home in addition to working in the office, you often end up working much more than the 40-hour work week.

    Advice to Management

I would advise enabling managers to reward top performers better. Also, I believe it would be a money-saving opportunity as well as beneficial to the environment to encourage more work from home.
