    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at IBM full-time

    Pros

Deep pockets; not likely to go out of business
    Many good, intelligent people
    Socially responsible

    Cons

Too many brand silos resulting in a career model which favors organizational specialization over skill specialization.
    Becoming a virtualized bureaucracy.
Fragmentation of core values through acquisition
Becoming more transactional and numbers driven.

    Advice to Management

It's not all about the shareholders. Try to get back to a model in which employees are rewarded for their ability to adapt, learn, think.- not for blindly following a methodology or having survived a forced sales march. You don't make money for the long haul by squeezing blood out of a turnip or the life out of your people. And, you don't have to pay the highest salaries if people feel secure and enjoy their jobs.
