Working relationships with high level management
Get experience with large and small teams
When not on the client site, not required to work from office
Build extensive network and contact list
Deal with a wide range of business issues

Cons

Excess Travel and low work/life balance
Little to no comradery with other consultants in practice
Tend to get treated as a number in the vast employment pool
Quick turnover and burnout
Can get pigeon-holed into particular tasks if "too good" of job is done
Other typical complaints regarding large companies

Advice to Management

With so many consultants in so many US cities it should be easier to place consultants on projects in their home town

    Doesn't Recommend

    Pros

Vacation package and benefits are good.

    Cons

Incompetent first line management that just takes orders from above. Do not expect to be rewarded for your achievements. There are always budget cuts, travel cost cuts, and little to no money to reward top performers. The overall age of employees is on the older side and all of the older employees refuse to train younger engineers due to the fear that their jobs may be taken over.

    Advice to Management

Stop treating employees and disposable and recognize them as human beings.

    Pros

    - You are amongst some really smart people who have been with the company for ages and ages
    - Actively promotes working from home.

    Cons

Since most people work from home, at times the interaction between the team as a whole is less.

    Advice to Management
