    Doesn't Recommend

    Pros

They have A/C in the hot summer months

    Cons

    No training whatsoever since 2000
    No pay increases since 2000
Management is not effective in communicating the simplest things to their employees
Customer support = rebuilding systems for minor issues so the bean counters can stay within their ratio of hours per events.
Upper management could care less about IT support for their employees.
    No career advancement
No ability to move to other divisions within IBM to further ones career.
Management always asking for more, while removing the resources needed to complete the job.
No cross-communication within IGS to allow for effective support.
Too much time spent on metric, not enough (if any) spent on customer satisfaction,
    Out dated process'
    Ineffective knowledge bases
Management is NEVER held accountable for failures when layoffs come around, just the staff.

    Advice to Management

You might want to value your support staff a little more, not just your marketers and VP's. IT keeps IBM running and one day it's going to bite you.

Get rid of Sam. He has utterly destroyed IBMs rep as a great place to work. His only concern is his bonus. A more worthless CEO you will never find. Bring back Lou Gerstner. Gerstners IBM was nirvana to work for compared to Sams.
