I have been working at IBM full-time

    Pros

A lot of opportunity to try new things, learn new skills and take on new projects. In marketing you can always find a way to work on a project (or 5) that interest you. And in the right department travel is easy to come by.

    Cons

You are expected to work on multiple projects at one time and not just the original job you were hired for. 40 hours is a joke, but to get the ratings for promotions and salary bumps 55+ is very realistic.

    Advice to Management

Understand that not everyone wants to be working on 10 projects at one time. It is distracting and leads to lower productivity.
