    I have been working at IBM full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    Long term vision. The cultural transformation is happening. Focus on new hires from colleges is bringing the speed. Industry pay, above average benefits. A wealth of learning resources. Embracing agile.

    Cons

    Too frequent changes in organization and direction. Too big.

    Advice to Management

    Split company to be nimble and fast.

    Pros

    Great pay. Great people to work with. High sense of accomplishment by the end of the internship.

    Cons

    Ambiguity. It was difficult to figure out what I was designing for at times. There was also a huge learning curve.

    I worked at IBM full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    Use to be a great company which supported and invested in their employees and clients. Work balance and autonomy was fantastic if you achieved.

    Cons

    Ageism is rife. Retrenching majority of “older” people for many years who are on six figures. Replacing with young cheap labour. All about the bottom line for CEO and shareholders.

    Advice to Management

    Get rid of CEO - has lost focus - people are very important to the success of a company.
