Pros

Great company and the know their businesses. They have great intellectual property and a lot of solid employees. You definitely have a lot of competent peers to work with and depend on. They have great strategies and a culture of being number one in the services they provide.

Cons

It is such a large organization, you feel like a number and not that important. Everything is done and reviewed with very formal systems. Lots of data for data sake. You have to fill out a lot of forms all the time to document everything.

Advice to Management

Try to make each of the business units feel more independent. Where the people feel that they are having an influence on the company and its performace.

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

Overall the salary is good, but not spectacular. They are a strong company, with many different divisions to move between and gain experience. Most managers are good at helping with your work/life balance.

    Cons

Executive management is taking more control from staff and line managers. The company has had very good years and the executives are not sharing so that the stock price can be driven higher. The are the main ones who get stock options, so it only rewards them. The expense cuts are not likely sustainable without serious negative effects.

    Advice to Management

Share the profits with staff; show real appreciation for our work; if you are going to act like you care, they really care, otherwise do not bother.

    Pros

good products, good and strong teammates, established customers

    Cons

commision plan reduced, feel overmanaged , constantly updating tracking reports , spreadsheets, SRM tools, .. every group you work with hads a different tneed to track and update your progress - even though they don't own the responsibility (you do) but are being ttracked against it

    Advice to Management

find a real job for all the staff tracking everything.... enhance the sales plan, the comensation plan is a far cry from our sales plan before we were acquired by IBM
