- The company has a good work/life balance and seems to really care about its employees.
 - Rapid expansion.

- Not as much pay, not as many perks as larger consulting firms.
- It can be difficult to move projects within the company as the LOBs seem very siloed.

Advice to Management

Improve consultants ability to move between LOBs.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

The best part of working at ICF is that my team is like a second family-- we take care of each other both in the office and out, too.

    Cons

I've felt during my tenure that I have not been rewarded for hard work. In particular, management seems to only recognize successes in new business initiavies, rather than continued success in longer-term work.

    Advice to Management

ICF Is an incredibly top heavy organization. I understand the need to pursue new business intiatives and have strategic hires to get new business. That said, they need to recognize when junior staff are spread too thin and overworked. Additional hires at the junior level may be more strategic than they think.

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

If you have a good supervisor, you will have flexibility, good feedback, and support. Most people work from home, so that is a definite perk.

    Cons

Senior management does support or respect their staff. The only they care about is money. They do not want to pay their employees what they are worth because it cuts into their very large, multimillion dollar bonuses. They do not value good employees. Their promotion matrix does not allow for significant advancement, in fact it makes it almost impossible to get promoted. They expect you to work 24/7, but senior management is not willing to do the same. Poor infrastructure. They do not have the systems nor people in place to handle the volume of business or number of employees they have, yet they continue to expand.

    Advice to Management

Significantly improve your infrastructure, especially if you are going to continue to expand at your current rate. Improve the quality of senior management trough better training. Change your promotion matrix so that it is possible for good employees to be promoted.
