Pros

You have the opportunity to work with some excellent colleagues that possess a wide variety of consulting skills, educational backgrounds, and career experience.

Cons

Disconnect between management and employees, combative culture, harassment and bullying, and inconsistencies with policies and procedures.

Advice to Management

Seek a change management consultant. Explore strengths within the organization. Take your employees suggestions seriously. There is a plethora of talent at ICF and much of that is exploited by management that is more focused on appearance than results.

    Pros

The management cares about keeping their employee as the company is going through its financial crisis. While managing to motivate their employee to excel in servicing the clients, work-life balance remains to be the corporate culture.

    Cons

In order for the technical employee to grow technically, relevant training needs to be made more accessible.

    Advice to Management

Relevant training needs to be made more accessible to the technical associate such that they can become increaslingly valuable resources to the company.

I worked at ICF full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Co-Workers are really nice to work with.

    Cons

Everything is a Con, where do I start? Management is deceptive, they make it out like its a wonderful favor they are doing you by paying you minimum but they sit you in the world's smallest cubicle and are basically task masters. Restrictive and almost abusive working environment. The Company makes claims of benefits but employees at the Seattle office never see them.
An employee would be better off working anywhere else. My advice is don't even take the job and get stuck.

    Advice to Management

    Be honest with employees.
