I have been working at IGT full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Flexible hours as long as you are producing. Salary and benefits are good. Nice gym as well as a health and wellness program. There are many incredibly talented, creative and intelligent people who work at this company.

    Cons

Employee morale is low and of zero concern to executive management.

The knowledge of consistent impending layoffs has reduced motivation, innovation and productivity. Overworked in an atmosphere of fear has increased negative CYA behavior that makes it difficult to be efficient. Layoffs are usually followed by the hiring of new Vice Presidents. Executives are focusing on the online gaming world while not supporting EGMs. There is a clear disconnect between executives and the people making the products.

    Advice to Management

Make your vision for the company clear instead of blue. At some point the bottom line needs to include human beings. If you are going to have layoffs - just do it. Putting hundreds of people through months of uncertainty is cruel and disruptive.
