    Cons

-There is no free parking. [While ITHAKA provides an Ann Arbor bus pass, if you, like most ITHAKA employees, live outside of Ann Arbor, you must drive in and pay to park at a municipal lot daily (costing between $1.20-1.80/hour or about $11/day total depending on the lot). There are very few park and ride alternatives depending on where you live, however these will easily triple the length of your commute. You are also offered a discounted U of M lot pass, however the lot itself is a 15-20 minute walk from the office and fills up quickly.] -There is no remote or flexible work schedule offered to help alleviate or offset the cost of parking.

    Advice to Management

As the current state of parking by the office can cause added tension/stress and be detrimental to the efficiency and attitude of the employees (including employee retention), consider either: 1) Providing employees who do not live in Ann Arbor with free parking passes, or 2) Allow employees to work flexibly a few days from home (i.e. 3 days from home, 2 days in office).
