No opinion of CEO

I have been working at IUCN full-time

Pros

Strong partnerships and meaningful work with policy level impact, diverse individual interests and action that can enhance cross-sectoral approach

Cons

Little effort for large scale on-the-ground implementation toward targeted results, with little M&E for impact; no strength to grievance mechanisms and options for reducing hierarchy and institutionalized leadership team management.

I worked at IUCN as a contractor

    Pros

Mission driven environment, valuable work experience to see inner working of a large nonprofit.

    Cons

A lot of contracting work, year to year work depends on funders, poor work-life balance being rolemodeled by leaders.

    Advice to Management

Improve efficiency by listening to staff ideas, ensure people are earning a living wage in the city in which they actually live.
