I worked at Impiger Technologies full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You are close to C-Level employees at all parts of the day. Project transparency is clear and you learn various aspects of the industry outside of your initial role easily. Team atmosphere is good and if utilized properly, you will learn many aspects of cloud, mobile, and web development. Employees are kind and the development team I always felt could accomplish any project. Management has wide range of experience, but not specifically in the roles they currently fulfill.

Jude is certainly ethical and very intelligent in his field. You can tell his vision for the company as well as his character is top notch. This seems great, but since he is the face of the company and constantly covering down on his management's duties, face time is difficult. He is very loyal to employees that have stood by his side since the beginning, almost to a fault.

    Cons

Management's expectations are literally unrealistic. Internal management conflicts cause culture problems and the opportunity to ever see a pay increase is 100% outside of reach. No benefits at all (No 401k, health, dental, and only 10 days vacation a year) and do not expect that to change. Internal communication is a joke, and overlap and confusion make up 30% of project issues. No processes, no standards, no quarterly peer or management evaluations.

Loyalty is a pro/con. If employees are underperforming be transparent with them and put them on a corrective action plan or retrain, not just expect them to be better with no change. Bad leadership in this aspect.

    Advice to Management

Establish a training program and set expectations early. I never truly knew what my job was since the structure was so confusing and the management required more attention to accomplish their tasks as they were always occupied. Expecting employees to "be a go getter and just figure it out" doesn't work. Work on the culture and how employees are treated (vacation time, benefits, bonuses). The mantra of being cheap in the product service and how you treat employees just doesn't work for American businesses and employees will be quick to leave if you don't fix your internal problems first.

The beauracratic structure of Impiger is unlike any other. Everyone reports directly to C-level, there is no direct supervisor or middle management except overseas on the development side. Time to discuss day to day issues are so low rarely anything will get done, especially with communication problems. Management is past the point of taking on new ideas and adhere to "thats just the way it is" mentality. Innovative products or services are not often, at times you feel you are in technology purgatory. Your voice to develop change will not be heard unless you aggressively demand it and that causes dissatisfaction on all fronts.

I worked at Impiger Technologies full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Monday through Friday work schedule

    Cons

Worked there 1 month, no/poor Internet (using Clear service and waited 2 weeks to get new service...As a technology company...), still responsible for the same goals even with their lack of preparatuon. The goal is absolutely ridiculous and the pay was not good. Also as I was about to get fired the entire team made it quite obvious by discussing a trip to Florida that was taking place the next week right in front of me. Not a very good work environment either.

    Advice to Management

Learn what you're doing before you hire a team and set goals for them.
