Pros
Honestly, I had the ideal work experience at Indeed for the 1st year. Benefts were great. The company cares about the employees. My managers and my team were geniune and cared about growing as a team. I was making actual engineering contributions to the product.
Cons
After re-prioritisation of initiatives, the direction became unclear due to the nature of our sub-organisation. Eventually our entire office got laid off due to strategic re-alignment. Despite that, I habour no strong negative feelings towards the company. I sincerely believed that leadership tried their best to avoid this outcome (if not for the employees, then for the hit to their brand reputation that they worked so hard to keep). Honestly would still be willing to return to Indeed at a later part of my life if they ever set up another office here.
