Cons

Too Much Weightage To Appraisal By Immediate Superior Rather Than Task vs Acievement Evaluation.
Transfer Or Change of Assignment Not Always Based On Need Of Organisation. Personal Bias
Outweighs Unbiased Performance Evaluation.

Advice to Management

Critical Evaluation of Individual Performance To Be Indepndent of The Appraisal By Immediate Superior,
Considering Both Goal Achievements And Shortfalls.

    Pros

    Providing ample opportunities for learning, takes care off employees well, has good perquisites especially medical facilities, in short, takes care employee from cradle to grave yard, has certain value system

    Cons

    Slow in decision making, many companies operating within the company, low risk taking capacity of management , low work life balance.

    Advice to Management

    Enhance your risk taking capacity, have close liaison with various policy makers for taking care of company's interest, constantly look for overseas opportunities since after becoming Maharatna, financial powers are available

    I worked at Indian Oil as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Great office, lush and spacious and also a green environment. Something very hard to find in core Mumbai. Also the staff's support was great.

    Cons

    People are too busy to have a interactive session, yes its a government organisation and there are hierarchy but certain aspects very becoming too tiring .

    Advice to Management

    Do have more interactive and insightful session with the intern.
