I have been working at Infogroup full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

The work culture is collegial and collaborative.
The organizational structure is flat.
Business process is self-organizing; peers resolve problems without managerial direction.
Telecommuting can be pleasant.

Cons

Telecommuting can get lonely.
The company is so decentralized that it's difficult to learn what other divisions do.

Advice to Management

The company intranet helps socialize telecommuters. Don't underestimate that role.

    Cons

    - ridiculous goals impossible to reach

    I worked at Infogroup full-time

    Pros

    - work from home
    - slightly above average salary
    - great place if you're a slacker
    - great place if you are political in nature
    - great place if you can thrive in a non-transparent environment

    Cons

    - Constant juggling of priorities and no clear direction
     - Abusive place; Be prepared to face impulsive management
     - Minimal communication from the senior management
     - Extreme power tussle within the organization
     - Highly political work environment
     - Inferior products
     - Owned by a Private Equity, which is only interested in making money, and thus no emphasis on retaining or developing manpower; Very high attrition rate

    Advice to Management

Cause you don't care, I have nothing to stay. Just to let you know, almost everyone I've known are looking for safer and better opportunities. This company needs a drastic change. First, fire the bull headed management, bring in transparency, respect and appreciate people for the value they have brought!
