Pros

Laid back environment, opportunity to work from home, no micromanagement, which leads for a good opportunity to learn. You end up doing mostly low level IT job like very nit-picky testing.

Cons

Not a lot of direction given on assignments. Management is horrible, everything is done in a very informal manner, you can be working on one project with an upcoming deadline and then be handed another assignment from another project that needs to be completed last minute. There is no consideration for switching between projects.

As far as the work environment, staff consists of a lot of drama and gossip.

Advice to Management

Diversify your services, hire more developers who can offer more service to gain bigger, better contracts. Appreciate your employees.

I worked at Information Concepts full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I really enjoyed my time at Information Concepts. The office atmosphere was great and they give a ton of freedom in terms of dress code and work hours. Great for work life balance. One of the most important things I gained from working here was the experience working in very small teams on smaller projects where I had much more responsibility than you'll often have when working in larger teams. The smaller projects also allow you to learn a variety of skills since you'll often work on multiple projects per year.

    Cons

You can be sent to random, off site locations for work. Also, while they do support some cleared projects, if you have a clearance I wouldn't count on being able to maintain it for many years while working here.
