I have been working at Infosys full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

opportunity to work with diverse employees

    Cons

bullying - is a regular part of daily life with Infosys

Nandita - is empty skirt. Would like to know what pictures or evidence she has on Executives. Is it something to do with property bought prior to Infosys announcing that they were buying land to build DC's. I believe her husband also bought land!!

Don't care a bit about their employees - may spout C-Life but it's all a mirror

Have found literally no 'integrity' with leadership

I have been working at Infosys full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    1. Excellent physical and intellectual infrastructure.
    2. Encourages employees to pursue other hobbies, sports beyond office work.
    3. Encourages employees to contribute towards education/upliftment of less fortunate strata of the society.
    4. Excellent Brand Image even in turbulent times.
    6. High respect among clients.
    7. Starting salary is at par with its peers and Industry average

    Cons

    1. Wide gaps in technologies taught during trainings and those used in projects.
    2. Pathetic human resource management especially of those on bench. Too much red tapism involved in inter-unit and inter-DC transfers. "Infy is a flat world" is just for advertising.
    3. Totally random allocations of DCs post training; No health/family issues considered. No fairness in such dealings.
    4. Poor reception and implementation of new ideas/improvements/feedbacks by the management.
    5. Unnecessary red-tapism of dress code (which is slowly being addressed by the management), unreasonable policy of maintaning 9:15 hours working hours average (Less flexible in Work from Home culture for Software Engineers), restrictions on usage of company mails etc..beyond company premises.
    6. Pathetic planning in training new joinees and mapping them to corresponding Units/Verticals/Technologies.
    7. Absurd policies of sending someone onsite..unless you're atleast at Personal Level 4 (Technology Analyst) or have very good rapport with manager irrespective of your calibre.
    8. Poor far sightedness in terms of adapting to evolving technologies e.g. Mobility and Cloud have been picked up by its peers way back and have established themselves, whereas Infy is still struggling with its 3.0 strategy and in opening spacious operating campuses/offices at some places e.g. Gurgaon and Noida, where all other companies have their offices for a long time now.
    9. Slow promotion cycles and salary increments vis a vis its peers.
    10. Too few leaves for a year and some absurd leave types e.g. Adoption Leaves. Biased in favour of Women employees.
    11. Some managers are totally inapt for the post or salary which they draw.
    12. Some project pricing policies/ethics are not apt in these tough economic times.

    Advice to Management

    1. Heed your employees especially System Engineers who constitute more than 60% of your strength and whose attrition rate is 15%. Devise some employee friendly policies in terms of trainings, postings, transfers, leaves, promotions, working hours.
    2. Look into the future of IT and adapt atleast as fast as your peers are adapting. Look at their business models and try to improve upon your business model considering the economic conditions in the world, changes in IT world.
    3. Keep a tab and control on biased favouritism.
