I have been working at Ingersoll Rand as a contractor (Less than a year)

Pros

It's a relaxed company that combines doing hard work and being a family. A lot of people have long work days, however the amenities that this company offers offsets it all. They encourage success and promote family. Events like volleyball, kickball, bowling, etc. (all of which your family is encourage to attend) make you want to not only work hard for the company, but stay here for a long time. The diversity of the company makes it hard to feel out of place when joining because there are a lot of different cultures and everyone's values are respected.

Cons

As far as moving up and career paths are concerned, each sector is different, but they all still promote your personal success and goals.

    Pros

decent pay and benefits. Company is relatively stable and HQ is investing in this location. Most of the regular workforce are friendly enough.

    Cons

There is a very bad company culture at this location. There is a general lack of appreciation and respect for employees. Constant finger pointing. management is clueless and reactive to latest crisis of the day, rather than long term priorities. Aging workforce that is just putting in their time and waiting to retire.

    Advice to Management

top management and HR should be replaced.
