Pros

The people at Trane before purchased were wonderful to work for.

Cons

Trane was good ,But Ingersoll moved the operations to Monterrey Mexico although Trane has a Billions of dollar contract to replace HVAC units in our military bases. Your Tax dollars at work.....

Advice to Management

your product brand has already suffered due to the inability to produce a quality product lots of luck with that.

    Pros

IRU is extremely well funded allowing them to purchase content, hire qualified employees and update supporting technology. The have good leadership training and support enterprise initiatives quickly.

    Cons

The irony is IRU provides good leadership training, but suffers from real leadership. IRU provides training and supports the enterprise, but does very little in terms of employee development or training of its own employees. You are always one mistake from being terminated, this causes a lot of CYA within the team and kills innovation. There are many chiefs and few indians.

    Advice to Management

IRU has been molded and re-molded, the problems that can't be corrected are the result of the CLO. Until there is a change at this level, this organization cannot reach its real potential. Turn-over is terrible and always has been, I have seen many very talented people get shown the door.

    Pros

    Business Model.
    Wide range of opportunities

    Cons

Plant leadership was very very bad.
Occasionally came to the shop-floor instead of living in it.
    Passive leadership.
    Poor communication.

    Advice to Management

    Try to retain talent.
Identify and grow talent. If you find someone good then develop them by exposing them across multiple division. But what truly happens is that you'll be blocked from any promotions if you are doing good in your job.
