I worked at Inland Empire Health Plan as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

just a learning experience and made friends.

    Cons

Where to start? Bad management, Chief's think that they are GOD's, don't believe at the open door policy-it's fake, terrible morale, most folks are walking around as though someone died. A lot of backstabbing and if you are hired as a temp and the others know it, they will make you feel like a lower class.

    Advice to Management

Don't be threatened by the chiefs if you think the worker is bright, competent and stick with him, keep your words, promote him in another department in a professional matter but not laid him off first and maybe some hiring manager will call you. I feel like a total loss of time, I picked this place over other larger health plans. It's a shame but it's their loss...

p.s.to the nurses, please don't act that you know everything when some of us have a better education and more experience than you.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

    Great benefits
    Career oppotunity
    Many departments
    Field opportunities

    Cons

Lots of favortism regardless of qualifictions

    Advice to Management

Do not use favoritism as a pre-requisite for upper management positions. The applicants should all be viewed impartially.
