I worked at Integra LifeSciences as a contractor (Less than a year)

Pros

Beautiful location, residential and farmland. Contract salary was good. New buildings/offices, good people, free assortment of teas and coffee including Starbucks. Fresh variety of bagels on Fridays.

Cons

Senior management is questionable. In my second week of employment, I was brought into a meeting with a Senior Director and VP, it was myself and a college intern. We were told the place was a mess and it was our responsibility to fix it. I found this amusingly absurd. There was 1 other planner in the group. All others had been fired or quit due to the horrendous workload and lack of direction or constant direction changes. All planning was done on Excel spreadsheets, leaving a tremendous amount of room for human error.

I worked at Integra LifeSciences as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

This company makes some of the most interesting products, replacement body parts, e.g. knee and hip joints, spinal fusion kits. Dress code is casual and it seems that the employees enjoy a good work life balance.

    Cons

Outrageously rude behavior is acceptable in this organization. Lots of little fiefdoms run by people whose only qualification is that they were with the company when it was small. Strong culture of this is how it's always been done, not interested in doing anything different.

    Advice to Management

Just because an employee was around when the company was small doesn't mean that they're right for the evolving organization.
