I worked at Integra LifeSciences full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Good learning opportunity, company was thinking about career progression

Cons

Middle management not part of profit sharing. Poor financial performance led to some layoffs. On-going product quality issues.

I worked at Integra LifeSciences full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

For a scientist position: Interesting work. Small company so it's easy to get involved in multiple projects and learn about things going on in other departments.

    Cons

They tell you right off the bat they expect you to quit in a year or two. The company values saving money rather than promoting employees and keeping good knowledgable staff, which in my option is probably why they're always in trouble with the FDA. The turnaround rate is INSANELY high. This place is great if you just need a quick stepping stone, but don't expect to build a career here.

    Advice to Management

Focus on how to keep employees around for more than two years so you don't end up with the current cycle of having new people training new people.

I worked at Integra LifeSciences as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Close to home. Their innovative pharmaceutical devices will be around a long time.

    Cons

Couldn't make up their minds on what direction they were going to go in. Other employees kept telling me that they didn't pay very well (I was a contract person). In the last few months I was there, several people were either let go or left; the culture was not very employee-oriented.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees better and you'll be able to keep them.
