    Pros

The good aspect about working at Intel is that politics is not tolerated and everyone has a voice at this company. Intel lives by the credo that it's knowledge power triumphs over position power. However, that's not always the case depending on the manager you have. It has got a hard-working culture, but if you like the fast pace then this place for you. They have great a great product roadmap so there's always something new on the horizon to market. Intel offers alot of internal training and it has good cross-company internal communication, with good resources to back up good ideas.

    Cons

Intel has a strong work culture of being paranoid that can work against it. There is too much tire-kicking on plans to the point where questions about a project seem irrelevant turning meetings into a trash-fest. Its attitude towards customers and competitors is often arrogant. Worse aspect is the work environment still rely on cube culture and everything is grey. There's very little commadarie across divisions or within divisions, and this has a dulling effect on employees over time. There's very little excitement and much too much processes that makes the work feel like a drudge. e.g. Monthly status reports are written up every month for all employees, and it's clear no one reads them.

    Advice to Management

Senior management should be more skilled at people management and team building. Most managers seem to manage up rather than down.

    Pros

It is a great technology company with a very solid foundation in the global economy. Life within Intel resembles a college campus in many respects and you are given ownership of your own success within the company.

    Cons

It can get very political although that might just be the group within which I work. It is generally easy to move within the company to new roles although that is complicated by the economy at the moment.
