I have been working at Intel Corporation full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

-The best corporate cafe in all of Austin hands down. We eat like kings and the food is sold at cost, all of it being prepared by our very own classically trained chefs. It's healthy, always organic, and delicious.
-The pay is far and away the best you're going to find as an Intern in TX. The benefits are great, plus you can pretty much work there as long as you want (summer, 1 yr, or 2).
-The have a lot of nice equipment that you usually won't ever get to play with at some smaller companies.

    Cons

-The company suffers from having historically only hired EE and CE people. Literally, no one knows how to do anything software related, aside from basic scripting.
-Because of this, some departments of the company are essentially just thrown together, loosely affiliated confederations of engineers who don't even know that they don't know.
-If you're expecting coding standards, centralized software, i.e. a basic methodology to how a group of people should operate together towards a common goal, you'll instead find a multi-million dollar lab with people doing everything manually.
-Also whenever that person leaves, no one knows how to do what he was doing.
