I have been working at Intel Corporation full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Intel:
    - influences many parts of the technology ecosystem and an employee can learn and have an impact on many areas over the course of a career.
    - pays competitively and has great benefits
    - allows flexibility of work schedule
    - an employee can rise to senior positions based on performance
    - for someone with initiative Intel is a great place to work

    Cons

    Intel:
    - does not stress good people management
    - if a person does not have industry experience, Intel can be daunting. It is a large company and an employee needs to take the initiative to learn on their own.
    - Intel invests in many areas outside of the core expertise, semiconductor manufacturing. An employee needs to understand when to follow the company in new areas and when to find employment in other divisions. Many employees have left the company because they were in a group when Intel no longer wished to make investments and lost their job.

    Advice to Management

Continue to reduce process for employees so small groups of employees can invest in new areas.
Use corporate sanctioned Sales Force Automation! Intel continues to dabble in technologies which are used for reporting tools versus productivity tools.
