In finance, the rotation program plus the size of the company brings lots of different opportunities. The more desirable jobs obviously have pretty tough competition internally when people rotate. Work-life balance varies greatly between groups but finance overall seems pretty decent. Senior management does a decent job at keeping communication lines open. Compensation is pretty competitive.

    Cons

Confrontational culture, some like it, some don't. I personally would prefer a more courteous, friendlier environment. Some jobs in finance, especially for kids coming out of undergrad, seem to be not that demanding. This could be a plus or minus depending on your perspective. As for me, I am constantly irritated by these junior analysts chatting and laughing constantly while I'm working my butt off.

Advancement opportunities in finance are limited and moving up can be slower than what MBAs coming in might expect.

There are 2 types of cubicles, a normal sized one where you have some privacy (people can only see you if they poke their head in) and tiny 8feet x 6feet cubicles which are just terrible. Actually, even worse, if you're on the 4th floor in the main HQ building, there are a lot of open work areas, which I guess would be even worse.

    Advice to Management

Give me the option to manage my own profit sharing account investments.

    Pros

If you like big company culture, or if you want easy life.

    Cons

    Politics
    Pay below average
    Cronyism

In summary there are too many incompetent people in Intel that need to go.

    Advice to Management

reuse between different groups needs to be improved
