Recommends
Approves of CEO

Pros

Working in a world class organisation

Cons

Can be way too political - you NEED to have a good manager

Advice to Management

Need to inject some REAL passion back in to the company. Too many people advance just by playing a blatantly sycophantic game. What you really need to recognise and reward genuinely passionate people.

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

Great opportunities if you're in the right group and have a good manager. Top-notch technologies, world-wide scope.

    Cons

Hard to convince senior management, risk taking is usually used without accepting or even gathering 360-degree feedback from peer groups outside business unit

    Advice to Management

Spend more on quality improvement, project management in accordance with best practicies - CMM/CMMI, more synch-up with peer groups outside business units, avoid politics in making decisions, avoid duplicate work & groups, become more customer-centered rather than inner-structure centered, introduce global CRM & ERP systems - no more Excel planning.
