I worked at Intel Corporation full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

As long as you say 'yes' all the time, give up all personal life and spend a lot of time telling your manager and your manager's manager how brilliant they are, you'll do fine.

Cons

If you work your butt off and do amazing technical work, then either you'll not be recognized for that great work or someone will try to take credit for what you've done.

Advice to Management

Get back to valuing technical talent. Stop rewarding sycophants.

I worked at Intel Corporation as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

It was fairly laid back and was a student-run environment. We got to go out for lunch on Thursdays as a group.

    Cons

There was some level of disorganization. When our original project was over they shut down the laboratory.

I have been working at Intel Corporation as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Fantastic place if to work if you are a direct hire Blue Badge without time limitations.

    Cons

Not nearly as good for green badge, contract or temp employees. Your agency can make a big difference. Look for one with benefits, Paid time off and holidays as well as benefits. Negotiate everything up front because there are no increases after you sign.

    Advice to Management

If you have to hire Green Badges make sure the Agencies are ones that treat their employees right. If the agency cannot reimburse the employee for 4 months after Intel sends them out of state the agency should lose the right to contract with Intel.
