I have been working at Intel Corporation full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

Benefits, Bonuses, challenging projects, cutting edge technology

Cons

Outdated management practices and too many organizations and departments want to compete with each other instead of collaborate. This results in lots of redundant work and duplicate positions throughout the company.

Advice to Management

Be transparent. Actually promote people into management that want to be managers, not technical engineers who or just ok at doing management jobs. Penalize groups and organizations that compete internally with other organizations instead of collaborating and working together.

I have been working at Intel Corporation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

If you do find yourself in the right job then all the benefits and compensation is pretty good

    Cons

Challenges include finding the right fit for skills, lack of direction, unable to retain top talent, corp politics play a big role in how and what is worked on. many mid level managers make intel a slow moving ship. There is a lack of creativity, risk taking, innovation. Engineers in Fabs over worked and have no life .. ability to move into new position is near impossible/

    Advice to Management

if you want to know why there is high churn and why the recent college grad engineers prefer to go work for companies like google, then dial in and listen to these RCG's. They likely hold the key to the companies success.

I worked at Intel Corporation as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Good relocation package
Brilliant people to interact with and learn from
    Cool projects for the future
    Free coffee, fruits, pop corn

    Cons

Nothing really bad.. Great experience all in all.. Maybe, as an intern you have to push your limits and show that you are worthy for the team you are working with.

Thanks so much for taking the time to provide feedback, I totally agree that Interns have to push limits, not just theirs but ours too. That is the only way we will continue to make the world a ... More
