I have been working at Intel Corporation full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

The company has great core values that are deeply embedded in the culture (customer orientation, discipline, results orientation, risk taking, great place to work, quality). This in addition to the focus on meritocracy, makes Intel a great company to work for. Also of note, Intel is one of the few companies that has a sabbatical program (8 paid weeks off every 7 years ... in addition to a pretty standard vacation allowance).

Cons

As I would imagine is true with most large companies, it can be harder than getting things done than one might think is really necessary.

I have been working at Intel Corporation full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    - Great employment practices at Intel will provide for a well-balanced work/family balanced career.
    - Values have glued the company and its employees together for over 4 decades. Adherence to them will change not only your professional but personal ethics, values and approaches in life.
    - Flexibility in the company shows they understand current work environments from being expected to be in the factories or operational divisions to telecommuting, depending on the job role.
    - The Open Door policy allows employees to talk to one another without going through a direct manager to do so.

    Cons

    - New organizational leadership is going through some churn as expected periodically. This will shrink and grow organizations. Out of this will either present opportunities within the company or provide a window to exit.
    - Learning engineering acronyms provides a challenge to most new entrants. Resources are provided to help with that learning.

    Advice to Management

Listen from bottom up as well as top down for operational facts.
Best of luck and continued wishes for continued success.

I have been working at Intel Corporation full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

High concentration of talented people, very intelligent and deliberate values,

    Cons

Talented employees identify others as 'competent' or 'incompetent' on a hair trigger - judgement is rampant. More idiots who can play the game than people with real passion or ideas.

    Advice to Management

Empower your employees to do what they care about - quit 'no more free candy - but here's 250k to blow on a totally unnecessary part because the Engineer said so.'
