This is a technician level position, so it can be a nice foot in the door for someone just out of school or in possession of an associates degree. Military experience is also accepted for this position. The pay is relatively good. The management and people working here are some of the greatest you'll ever encounter. Great benefits and growth opportunities are there if you really want them.
Cons
Culture of "need to know" is confusing to people that function best when they understand how everything works. If you can be told to do a thing and repeat it and you aren't compelled to understand things beyond the scope of your position, this is fine, you'll love it. Feed your family and you are good to go. But if you are inquisitive, this job will be tough. Without the bachelors (if you don't have), they won't pay you much attention. You won't get training beyond what they want you to do and it will really confuse you when you interact with other departments. It compartmentalized in a way that makes it impossible for you to put the pieces together, unless you work here for several decades.
