Pros

The company allowed me to grow my career in different ways. I highly recommend it as an entry level job fresh out of college. They gave me a lot of liberties and flexibility that you just cannot find in other places. A lot of people say that intel does not pay much, but the pay for me was great. You need to look at the total compensation package. When you evaluate salary, the ESPP, flexibility, childcare benefit, 401K, and so much else, it is hard to find this kind of compensation and flexibility anywhere else. Amazon may pay 50% more but you sleep 70% less because they literally work you like a dog and don't care about you. It comes down to what you really want out of your career. I was able to grow and still live comfortably.

Cons

The company, like many others, is incredibly siloed. I worked in IT and the service experience for employees was terrible. A lot of decisions were made at the very top and leadership did not know or care how it affected everyone else. After a few years there, I ended up getting laid off because they felt they could hire someone in Costa Rica to do the same job for a fraction of the cost. Decisions like these greatly degrades the employee experience in IT. They continue to shoot themselves in the foot.
