Pros

A stable work environment where good work is rewarded. You can easily become a specialist in an area as the company covers many areas of financial data.

Cons

Poor intra-company communication. Benefits are weak since being taken over by private equity. Colleagues are not always in the top 10%.

Advice to Management

Encourage more communication and knowledge sharing across all ranks and not just up and down through reporting lines. Effort is repeatedly being duplicated as no one knows what other people are working on.

    Pros

The personal relationships and passion for the work at the individual business unit level is admirable. The benefits offered to employees are better than average. Company is strong enough financially to feel stable, and the company has a good level of integrity and a decent market reputation.

    Cons

After the company was taken private, the drive to make the company more profitable and function more efficiently was evident, and the personal touch was lost. The effectiveness of the harsh cost cutting measures and efforts to drive revenue growth remain to be seen.
