Pros

IDC offers a lot of training. Employees will develop a good knowledge of financial markets/products even w/o a finance background,
bonus' are paid quarterly,
benefits are not too bad,
bedford office is pretty lax in terms of attire

Cons

promotions are a joke - based off longetivity (or are pre-deteremined) rather than merit
old timers are not going anywhere, which leaves only sales positions as possible path up corporate ladder
little chance of moving to a position in chicago or ny from bedord office. management is not interested in utiizing current employees.
sales team is not reliable for support....will throw customer service reps under the bus

Advice to Management

train employees on the products rather than the data,
be more cognizant of employees who know their stuff and could be assets in the future.

    Pros

Good benefits. Long vacation. Ability to work from home.

    Cons

Poor senior management - not sure if some of the new executives ran a large company before. Work reduced to petty politics. Morale is very low. No career opportunities. Everyone talks about getting a severance package and going elsewhere.

    Advice to Management

Private equity: come down for a couple of days a week and observe. You will not like what you'll see.
