I worked at Interbrand full-time (More than a year)

Pros

A leader in the industry, with particular strengths in brand valuation, brand strategy, CPG/packaging (especially in the mid-West – Cincinnati, etc.), and some great design work as well.

Cons

Not known for pushing the envelope strategically or design-wise, but that may be a perception issue.

Advice to Management

Senior leaders in UK are very good people. There seems to be a lot of turnover in NY.

I worked at Interbrand full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It's a very well-respected organization and a great stepping stone into branding. It also has a very strong management team. Interbrand is an industry leader and does a great job filling that role through its Best Global Brand report, industry events and promotion.

    Cons

Long hours with poor work life balance, though this is true for many branding firms.
High rate of turnover, likely due to disappointing compensation.

I have been working at Interbrand full-time

    Pros

We often do work that is beyond the realms of traditional brand consulting, and moves into the territory of impacting the strategic direction of businesses. Quite exciting.

The leaders in strategy are talented and quite sharp.

The work is very interesting and is what will keep you here.

    Cons

The pay is medicore for people coming from management consulting.

You have to fight really hard for promotion. It tends to come later than it should.

    Advice to Management

This company does incredible work but doesn't do a great job managing talent. You need to codify it and put structure around it. Your biggest problem is promoting too late.
