I have been working at Interline Brands full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Lots of experienced colleagues who know the industry.
Ability to see immediate results.
Decent Pay

Cons

Antiquated systems that are in desperate need of updating.
Still working on folding in 14 different brands under one leadership team.
Data integrity.

Advice to Management

Focus investment capital into data systems to get us out of the 80's. This will be needed for long-term growth strategies.

I worked at Interline Brands full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The work environment, they really are supportive in making sure you are well trained and keep you up on new product and service offerings for our customer. They encourage you to work toward your strengths and work with you to continually update or knowledge and skill base.

    Cons

They have a tendency to pin hole you, there is little or no chance for advancement, beyond customer service or other entry level positions unless you have college degree. While this is a good tool for selecting a sales rep. it is by far not the only thing to be considered. There are many who are naturally great sellers, and to use a piece of paper as sole criteria for selection I find very wanting.

    Advice to Management

Learn to look beyond the resume, see people for their potential and not just the sum of a list.

I worked at Interline Brands full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent facilities and software for the Design department. Pay was acceptable but not wonderful. Free parking and in downtown (central to everywhere).

    Cons

Management was always an issue. Typical political environment - I was not part of management, but it was easy to see who was making whom jump through hoops for the sake of appearances.
