I worked at Intermountain Healthcare full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

As listed above, the company is one of the best to work for. They have a great team atmosphere, great pay, great benefits. Good management, and it's an in demand field.

    Cons

Patient billing was my field, and it is emotionally taxing. Hard to listen to people who are sick or have a sick loved one all day everyday. The other downside, it's pretty much impossible to get hired. Unless you know someone in the company who can refer you, you have little chance. It's a secret about most healthcare jobs.

    Advice to Management

Hire more outside people who don't necessarily have, "connections" more often. they can be just as qualified.

Great benefits, and some of the finest folks you will ever meet.

    Cons

The politics are sometimes more important than the average employee

    Advice to Management

Hold physicians, no matter how much revenue they bring to the company to the same values as the average employee
