Pros

Great PTO plan, paid parking, and good health benefits with Cigna. Groups are organized but some can have improved communications. Shome tools for looking are data are not good at all and need a major overhall and the company just keeps promising to give us better tools but never delivers claiming budget troubles, etc.

Cons

VP level mgmt does not talk openly to the rest of staff. People do not say hello in the hall hardly ever unless they already know you. Many seem either tired, bored or over worked so maybe that is why they never say hello. Seems the culture is to go on and be busy at your desk and not get to know anyone.

Advice to Management

Stop being away from the common workers or base employees and get to know them by having face to face interactions.

    Pros

The people at Internap Canada are some of the best colleagues someone could ask. Never in 6 years did I experience useless work-related drama. Everyone is motivated, friendly and professionnal. Leaving the company was very hard for this specific reason.

Internap Canada (formerly iWeb) is a good place to build your career. My superiors provided support for the development of my skills and expertise. If you show potential, the possibilites are there for you to grow into.

The culture is collaborative. Happy hours at the local bar are frequent while the christmast party is nothing short of amazing.

Teams are diverse, with different people coming from many backgrounds. They like to give a chance to high potential people who just finished school or immigrants looking to put their skills to good use. It was always a pleasure to drink with people so diverse.

End of year bonuses were implemented this year.

    Cons

The company was acquired 2 years ago and it was starting to show when I left. The culture is more directive when you have to deal with the US offices. Not many women at the top, which is a worrying trend.

Lack of vision for the company and a low stock price are also something to look into the future.

    Advice to Management

Work on employee attrition. Figure out your competitive advantage and push forward. You got amazing employees willing to push hard if leadership can show the way.

    - A lot of restaurants around the office

    Cons

    - The company has become too corporate
    - Nun's island is too far away from people living in MTL
