Pros

The best reason to work for International Paper is the compensation. IP pays a living wage that allows its employees to make a comfortable living.

Cons

The major downside to working at International Paper is the lack of career paths and advancement opportunities. Specifically, the policy that allows managers to prevent employees from applying for internal positions without their permission.

Advice to Management

My only recommendation is that management reconsider the policy that prevents employees from applying for new positions without the current manager's approval.

    Pros

Pays well in some positions. The benefits are great and the overall goal of the company is a good one.

    Cons

The amount of overtime forced on you is excessive. Working 30+ hours of OT on your check is not uncommon. If you work here be prepared to see a your family a lot less.

    Advice to Management

This company could be a better company just by filling in the empty positions on the production side of the floor. The work is enjoyable to a degree but not when you rarely see your family and friends.

    Cons

There are not alot of downfalls to the company, though organization of the facility could be improved. Not alot of cons.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. Listen and work together with all employees and work on organization throughout the whole corporation too.
