I have been working at Intertek full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Some nice people; very nice PTO (20 days, plus holidays); opportunity for overtime pay if an hourly employee.

    Cons

Growing expectations of almost all employees without extending any sort of incentive to out perform previous results. Morale was abysmal, of the sort that made it painful to get up in the morning to go to work. Good ol' boy mentality and hierarchy was discouraging to deal with on a day to day basis.

    Advice to Management

Communicate more with all level of employee, and don't treat those that aren't in engineering like second class citizens, everyone has a lot to offer and working as a team would get better results. Communication all across the North American offices is tragically bad.

I worked at Intertek full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

While Intertek strives for excellence in customer service.

    Cons

While striving for excellence in customer service, the company epitomizes the large soul-less company that has no commitment to its employees. In the end, that lack of commitment reverberates back from the employees to the company. There are a LOT of unhappy people there.

    Advice to Management

Clean the useless slate of your HR department
